Helen Once Hiked the Kokoda Trail. That’s Why She Bought a LAGEE!
Retiring but not ready to retreat? Neither was Helen.
An avid traveller and keen adventurer, Helen has always loved exploring new destinations and experiencing everything the world has to offer. These days, her knees aren’t quite up to the task of challenging hikes and mountain climbs. But Helen is far from ready to give up on traversing the path less travelled.
That’s why she bought a LAGEE!
Helen’s Incredible Stories
Helen has no shortage of stories to tell.
In her youth, she spent nine days carrying her tent on her back, hiking the Kokoda Trail, a gruelling trail defined by steep climbs, muddy terrain, and extreme humidity. The 96-kilometre trek took her on a life-changing journey and presented unique physical and mental challenges.
For many people, a journey as difficult as this would have put a stop to future travel plans. But for Helen, it only fuelled her passion for adventure.
Later, Helen went on to climb Kilimanjaro, a seven-day expedition that put her fitness to the test at high altitude. It was worth it, though, with Helen and her fellow climbers battling icy temperatures and the pains of altitude sickness, to see sweeping vistas most people never get to witness.
Since then, Helen has made it her mission to test her limits and see parts of the world the rest of us only ever read about. She’s travelled around the globe, climbed mountains and biked along difficult trails, even taking to the sea to swim the English Channel.
As the years have gone by, Helen has lost none of her lust for adventure. But her knees aren’t quite up to the more challenging climbs anymore. It’s time to slow down, but that doesn’t mean Helen is ready for a truly slow life.
The Perfect Adventure in Retirement
Enter the LAGEE.
Helen knew she didn’t want to settle into a quiet life just yet. There was still so much to see and explore! And retirement only offered more time to get outside and experience it all. A LAGEE was the perfect solution.
Cleverly designed for maximum space without maximum width, a LAGEE can easily navigate narrow creeks. They are built tough and sit high on the water, allowing them to tackle shallow waterways too. As tritoons, LAGEEs are supported by three pontoon tubes instead of two, providing extra stability for a safer journey, and they’re convertible with a fully foldable Bimini, allowing for 360-degree views.
For Helen, a LAGEE was a ticket to a new kind of adventure. Now she can cut straight to the finale and raise the anchor to go out exploring.
Helen’s days of scaling mountains might be behind her. But an hour of luxury cruising before arriving at yet another incredible destination? Sign her up!
What’s Next for Helen?
After extensive research, Helen decided on the perfect LAGEE for her travel plans: the Mooloolah.
This is our most compact pontoon boat, designed to offer a little luxury on the way to a big adventure. Offering great comfort and stability, this boat really is ready for anything. Better yet, it’s opening the door to a whole new kind of travel.
Now even Helen’s less athletic friends can tag along to experience and explore by her side, not to mention Helen’s curious golden retriever, Dante, who shares his owner’s adventurous spirit.
Next weekend could take Helen on a relaxing river cruise with plenty of nibbles on board. And maybe that will lead to someplace she’s never been before.
